Save reports and files

Ask for a file when you want a result to read, keep, or print. Use a cyberdeck when you want an interactive view.

Request a report

Specify the subject, period, and information to include. For example:

Summarize the research we've recorded this week. Include sources, unresolved questions, and the dates the evidence covers. Make a report I can save.

Your Kiddie can create a self-contained HTML report or a chart in SVG format. It can also share images already available to it. The current toolkit doesn't provide a browser for screenshots or an image-generation service.

A report should identify its sources and the time the information describes. If the saved record covers only part of your requested period, the report should say so.

Open and save an attachment

  1. In the conversation, find the attachment card with the file's name.
  2. For an HTML report, select Open to read it in chat. Images and supported charts appear inline when small enough.
  3. Select Save to download your own copy.

Large images might offer a download without an inline preview. If a card reports a missing or oversized file, ask your Kiddie to check or recreate it.

Save a report as a PDF

The current agent doesn't generate PDFs directly. Use your browser's print feature with the downloaded HTML report:

  1. Select Save on the report card.
  2. Open the downloaded HTML file in your browser.
  3. Open the browser's print dialog.
  4. Choose its PDF destination, review the preview, and save the file.

The labels in the print dialog depend on your browser and device. Ask your Kiddie for a print-friendly version if the layout is difficult to read.

Keep an important version

Download a report you need to retain. If your Kiddie updates a file under the same name, opening an older card can show the newer file. The attachment lane isn't a version archive.

Files are snapshots. They don't keep checking markets after you save them. A recurring report needs an enabled research watch.

Don't treat the chat or its attachments as your only record of transactions. Keep transaction hashes and any reports you need for your own records.
